Contest - Sailor Moon 2


In my previous entry I showed an illustration of Sailor Moon which lineart belongs to serafleur and I coloured it to participate in a contest on PaigeeWorld. As I wanted to do two colouring (you can participate with three) I wanted to do the normal version and my personal one with a dark touch. I wanted to use my favourite colours, blue and black, and this how this dark version of Sailor Moon came out.

En mi anterior entrada os enseñé un dibujo de Sailor Moon cuyo lineart pertenece a serafleur y lo coloreé para participar en un concurso de la página PaigeeWorld. Como quería hacer dos coloreados (puedes participar hasta con tres), quise hacer la versión normal y la personal con un toque oscuro. Me apetecía utilizar mis colores favoritos, azul y negro, y de ahí salió la idea de esta versión oscura de Sailor Moon.

Contest - Sailor Moon


In my previous I commented that I was going to participate in a contest on PaigeeWorld. Well, here's my first entry.

The contest is about colouring a drawing of Sailor Moon. The lineart is done by serafleur, an artist who makes beautiful illustrations, so I have coloured her lineart. The truth is that it has been  very fun colouring a drawing of a semirealist style, I have realized how much I have improved at digital colouring as I was going to colour it simpliest but I didn't like how it was looking and decided to completely improvise and experiment. I have to say that I have learned to use Sai barely looking tutorials because it is a very intuitive program. I would like to participate with another coloruring and completely different from this one. Let's see what comes up!

El concurso finaliza el 8 de Mayo.

El concurso consiste en colorear un dibujo de Sailor Moon. El lineart está hecho por serafleur, una artista que hace unas ilustraciones preciosas, así que me he dedicado a ponerle color a esta ilustración. La verdad es que ha sido muy divertido colorear un dibujo de estilo semirealista, me he dado cuenta de lo mucho que ha mejorado mi coloreado digital ya que iba a colorearlo de forma más simple pero no me estaba gustando el resultado y decidí improvisar y experimentar por completo. Tengo que decir que he aprendido a utilizar Sai sin apenas mirar tutoriales ya que es un programa muy intuitivo. Me gustaría participar con otro coloreado más y completamente diferente a este. ¡A ver qué sale!

Fanart - Sailor Mars


Last weekend was the PaigeeWorld Sailor Moon week. As you know, this page is always hosting events and contests that encourage a lot to draw. As a Sailor Moon fan, I wanted to participate with a fanart of my favourite Sailor, Sailor Mars. I have always liked girls with a strong personality and keep things clear like her.

I used references for drawing the pose and I enjoyed very much colouring it. I am putting more details and layers in different modes in each illustration, so it's already beginning to define my personal digital style.

By the way, I was given a "feature" with this drawing at PaigeeWorld. Is the only art page where my work is more valued and that motivates a lot to keep drawing.

In PaigeeWorld are going to host another contest about Sailor Moon in which I'm going to participate with at least two entries. Soon you'll see my first entry.

Este fin de semana pasado ha sido la semana de Sailor Moon en PaigeeWorld. Ya sabéis que ésta página siempre está organizando eventos y concursos que animan mucho para dibujar. Como fan de Sailor Moon, he querido participar con un fanart de mi Sailor favorita, Sailor Marte. Siempre me han gustado las chicas de carácter fuerte y con las cosas claras como ella.

Usé referencias para dibujar la pose y me lo pasé en grande coloreándolo. Cada vez le pongo más detalles y capas en distintos modos a mis ilustraciones, así que ya se está empezando a definir mi estilo personal digital.

Por cierto, me dieron un "feature" con este dibujo en PaigeeWorld. Es la única página artística donde mi trabajo está mejor valorado y eso motiva muchísimo para seguir dibujando.

En PaigeeWorld van a organizar otro concurso sobre Sailor Moon en el que también voy a participar con al menos dos propuestas. Pronto podréis ver mi primera propuesta.

Marlisha 2016 - Gilsterverse Jam


Gislter262, a deviantART old friend, is hosting a 'Jam Art' on his original characters and their universe to celebrate his 9th anniversary on that page. I have participated with Marlisha, a character that already belongs to this universe since I created her for another contest that Gilster262 hosted a few years ago and I haven't drawn her for a long time. You can read her profile here. Surely that more than one has thought about Elsa from Frozen when reading her profile, but as you can see, Marlisha is older and has nothing to do with her.

I liked to redraw Marlisha and seeing the previous drawings of her, I realized how much my artistic skills have improved. You can see the rest of drawings I've done of her on this link.

I've also redesigned her clothes, with a more fantasy style in line with the character.

Gislter262, un viejo amigo en deviantART, ha abierto un 'Jam Art' basado en sus personajes originales y su universo para celebrar su 9º aniversario en dicha página. Yo he participado con Marlisha, un personaje que ya pertenece a este universo ya que la creé para otro concurso que Gilster organizó hace unos años y hacía mucho tiempo que no la dibujaba. Podéis leer su perfil (en inglés) aquí. Seguro que más de uno habrá pensado en Elsa de Frozen al leer su ficha, pero como podréis ver, Marlisha es anterior y no tiene nada que ver con ella.

Me ha gustado volver a dibujar a Marlisha y viendo los anteriores dibujos que he hecho de ella, me he dado cuenta de cómo han mejorado mis habilidades artísticas. Podéis ver el resto de dibujos que he hecho de ella en este enlace.

También le he rediseñado la ropa, con un estilo de más fantasía acorde con el personaje.
