Pray for Barcelona

I didn't want to have to post an entry like this, but I feel myself obligated to do so. As many of you already know, yesterday 17th August there was a terrorist attack on Las Ramblas in Barcelona. The reason I write these lines is because I know that I have readers who know that I go often to Barcelona and I want to warn that I am well. Fortunately none of my family and friends have been affected.

Since I didn't have to go to work, I was thinking of going yesterday afternoon for a walk in Barcelona, but finally I decided to go for a walk in the town where I live. I know that I have been very fortunate not to have seen myself in such a terrible situation since I could have witnessed the multiple outrage because at the time it happened, I would have been in the affected area if I would finally decided to go to the city.

No quería tener que publicar una entrada como esta, pero me veo en la obligación de hacerlo. Como muchos ya sabréis, ayer 17 de Agosto hubo un atentado terrorista en Las Ramblas de Barcelona. El motivo por el que escribo estas líneas es porque sé que tengo lectores que saben que voy a menudo a Barcelona y quiero avisar de que me encuentro bien. Afortunadamente ninguno de mis familiares y amigos se han visto afectados.

Como no tenía que ir a trabajar, estuve pensando en ir ayer por la tarde a pasear por Barcelona, pero finalmente decidí salir a pasear en la ciudad donde vivo. Sé que he tenido mucha suerte de no haberme visto en una situación tan terrible ya que podría haber presenciado el atropello múltiple porque a la hora a la que sucedió, habría estado en la zona afectada si finalmente hubiese decidido ir a la ciudad.

From here I want to show my full respect for the victims of the attack and give the message that we have to be strong and should not be afraid. Together we can go ahead and this will not stop me from going on a walk around Barcelona and enjoy my hometown everytime I want.

Happy New Year 2016! · ¡Feliz año nuevo 2016!

Another year is ending to start a new one. Although this blog is about my artworks, I have made a card with a photo of three of my dolls to wish you all a happy new year 2016, that all your dreams come true and have health to enjoy the surprises that this new year has prepared for you all.

Otro año se nos va para empezar uno nuevo. Aunque este blog sea sobre mis ilustraciones, he hecho una felicitación con una foto de tres de mis muñecas para desearos a todos un feliz año nuevo 2016, que vuestros sueños se hagan realidad y gocéis de salud para disfrutar de las sorpresas que este nuevo año os tenga preparadas.

As I said in my previous entry, I have changed my nickname. Before I was Diabolikal Lily and now I am Lily Skadi. I have managed to make the change in almost all forums and web sites where I have an account. In deviantART I can not change it because I would need a premium membership and I refuse to give money to a page that every time they do an update or open a discussion, I'm laughing to keep from crying. The last thing was this: link.

They basically they say that art theft in internet does not exist because there is anything physical to "steal". Really? Although the thing not stop here and drop more atrocities. I have often reported "theft" on that page and never got those "thieves" be banned or warn for misconduct. Now I fully understand why. This does not happen in other art sites, where you are require to upload only artworks that you have done and if you upload something that is not yours, depending on severity you run the risk of being banned temporarily or lifetime in that page. Sometimes make me want to close that account and send deviantART to piss off definitely, but I have friends there and that stops me because really, this page is becoming a substitute for Facebook and similar social networks.

After unburden myself with this topic, I want to let you know that in the following days I will change the blog URL address, becoming the following:

Please make a note because I do not know if searching through the current URL it will be redirected to the new one automatically.

I also have almost ready the new blog header, so the change will be imminent.

Como ya comenté en mi anterior entrada, cambié mi nick. Antes era Diabolikal Lily y ahora soy Lily Skadi. He conseguido hacer el cambio en casi todos los foros y páginas donde tengo una cuenta. En deviantART me es imposible cambiarlo porque necesitaría una cuenta premium y me niego a dar dinero a una página en la que cada vez que hacen una actualización o abren un tema de discusión, me hacen reír por no llorar. Lo último fue esto: enlace. 

Para los que no entendáis inglés, básicamente dicen que el robo artístico en internet no existe porque no se "roba" nada físico. ¿En serio? Aunque la cosa no queda ahí y sueltan más barbaridades. Muchas veces he denunciado "robos" en esa página y nunca conseguí que esos "ladrones" fuesen baneados o se les avisase por mala conducta. Ahora comprendo perfectamente por qué. Esto en otras páginas artísticas no sucede, es más, te exigen que subas solamente ilustraciones que hayas hecho tú y si subes algo que no te pertenece  y dependiendo de la gravedad, correrás el riesgo de ser baneado de forma temporal o de por vida en esa página. A veces me dan ganas de cerrar esa cuenta definitivamente y mandar a deviantART a tomar por viento, pero tengo amigos allí y eso me frena porque de verdad, ésta página se está convirtiendo en un sucedáneo de Facebook y otras redes sociales similares.

Después de desahogarme con este tema, decirlos que voy a cambiar en los próximos días la dirección URL del blog, pasando a ser el siguiente:

Por favor, apuntadlo porque no sé si al buscar a través de la URL actual se redirigirá a la nueva automáticamente.

También tengo casi lista la nueva cabecera del blog, así que el cambio va a ser inminente.

Lily Skaði: New nick · Nick nuevo

Finally I have decided to change my nick. I usually use the name "Diabolikal Lily" everywhere, but I've got tired of that "diabolikal" and had been thinking for a time of changing it. As I like "Lily", I wanted a "last name" that had some kind of relationship with me. I have decided to use Skaði from a test I did a while about who Norse goddess I would be, where I got as result this goddess (of winter), so from now on I will sign as Lily Skaði and in my next illustrations I will change my watermark although in other sites (deviantArt and forums) have to keep being Diabolikal Lily.

I need a new banner for this blog.

A curious fact, the name Skaði could mean "Goddess of hell". One way or another, there's still something diabolical in my nick, lol.

Finalmente he decidido cambiar mi nick. Suelo usar el nombre "Diabolikal Lily" en todas partes, pero me he cansado de ese "diabolikal" y llevaba tiempo pensando en cambiarlo. Como "Lily" me gusta, quería un "apellido" que tuviese algún tipo de relación conmigo. He decidido utilizar Skaði por un test que hice hace tiempo sobre qué diosa nórdica sería, en el que me salió como resultado esta diosa (del invierno), así que a partir de ahora firmaré como Lily Skaði y en mis próximas ilustraciones cambiaré mi marca de agua aunque en otros sitios (deviantArt y foros) tenga que seguir siendo Diabolikal Lily. 

Necesito un nueva nueva cabecera para este blog.

Como dato curioso, el nombre de Skaði podría significar "diosa del infierno". De una forma u otra, sigue apareciendo algo diabólico en mi nick, jajaja.

Tablet damaged · Tableta gráfica estropeada

I haven't uploaded artworks on this blog for too long. It's not abandoned, neither I haven't forgotten it, the problem is that I haven't able to upload new artworks because my pen tablet was damaged and I can't draw new artworks like I'd wish. But this is going to be solved very soon because yesterday I took the pen tablet to be repaired and I'm having it back tomorrow, if all goes well. Fortunately the problem seems to be because of the USB cable, that was not well connected because of years of use. I had to move it constantly to find the point of connection, but it wasn't enough because at the slightest movement, it lost connection being impossible to work.

Before requesting repairs, I was working on a drawing that right now it's half done. There's still quite work to finish it, so as soon as I have my pen tablet back, I'll finish this drawing and upload it as soon as possible.

I'm very sorry that you have been visiting this blog and haven't seen any updates. I hope that from this moment everything goes back to normality and I'll upload new artworks once a month as minimum.

Hace mucho tiempo que no subo dibujos en este blog. No es que lo tenga abandonado y me haya olvidado de él, el problema es que no he podido subir dibujos nuevos porque mi tableta gráfica se rompió y no puedo hacer dibujos como me gustaría. Pero esto se va a solucionar muy pronto ya que ayer llevé a reparar la tableta y mañana la tendré en casa, si todo va bien. Afortunadamente el problema es inicialmente del cable USB, que no hacía conexión por los años de uso. Tenía que estar siempre moviéndolo hasta encontrar el punto de conexión, pero no era suficiente porque al mínimo movimiento perdía la conexión y así era imposible hacer algo en condiciones.

Antes de llevarla a reparar, estuve trabajando en un dibujo que en estos momentos está a medias. Aún queda bastante trabajo para terminarlo, así que tan pronto como tenga la tableta en casa, terminaré este dibujo y lo subiré lo antes posible.

Siento mucho que os hayáis pasado por el blog y no vieseis ninguna actualización. Espero que a partir de este momento todo vuelva a la normalidad y suba un dibujo mínimo cada mes.

Como podéis comprobar, finalmente ha ganado por votación la opción del cambio, así que a partir de este momento escribiré el blog tanto en Inglés como es Castellano, así los lectores podrán elegir el idioma que mejor entiendan.

Poco a poco iré cambiando el formato de las entradas más importantes del blog para que se puedan leer en ambos idiomas y de esta forma, desaparecerá el traductor que hay en la barra lateral ya que no creo que sea muy efectivo.

Bilingual blog? Please, vote!

I've been thinking and I'm wondering something. Would you like this blog being bilingual? In the left sidebar of the blog you can see a poll and vote on whether I make the change or left it as it is.

If I make the change, it would look like this entry, with text in English and Spanish in two different columns for easier reading of the comments I write about my drawings and tutorials. You can also see a sample of what the posts would look if you visit my blog about BJDs, "Genwaku". Please, select "web version" for a right view if you're using a smartphone because in "mobile version" it doesn't look fine.

In the other sites I use to show my works I write in English only, so I have to think that maybe visitors who speak my language would like to read the text in Spanish.

He estado meditando y he llegado a hacerme una pregunta. ¿Os gustaría que este blog fuese bilingüe? En la barra lateral de la izquierda del blog podéis ver una encuesta y votar sobre si hago el cambio o no.

En caso de hacer el cambio, tendría el aspecto de esta entrada, con el texto en inglés y castellano en dos columnas diferentes para facilitar la lectura de los comentarios que escribo sobre mis dibujos y tutoriales. También podéis ver una muestra de qué aspecto tendrían las entradas si visitáis mi blog sobre BJDs, "Genwaku". Eso sí, seleccionad la "versión web" para verlo mejor si usáis un smartphone ya que en versión móvil queda mal.

En el resto de webs que utilizo para mostrar mis trabajos son íntegramente en inglés, así que me ha dado por pensar que igual a los visitantes que hablan mi idioma les gustaría leer el texto en castellano.

New blog design

 

If you visit my blog frequently, my might have noticed that I've changed its design. I liked the old one, but I'm afraid that it wasn't comfortable to read with that dark blue background and white text. Finally, I've decided to change everything to make it easier to read and I've added some custom details too. What do you think about the new look? I hope is of your liking and you enjoy visiting this blog.

By the way, soon I'll add a new beautiful artwork and I have to finish some tutorials about how to colour with SAI. That means that this blog is not abandoned!

I haven't updated for days and this can't continue in this way. Today I'm telling you some stuff, so let's start with the first one. I have recently opened an account on Bloglovin', let's see if I get my blogs are known a little more. In the right sidebar you have the links. In advance, thank you to those who decide to follow me.

I want to say something that perhaps you may know but it's something so simple that maybe you haven't noticed. When you wish to comment on this blog, I know that if you do it from your Blogger or Google+ account, you can automatically subscribe to the post to know when a new reply is published in the post you comment. To do so, be sure to select "Notify me" before to post your comment (although you can also do it after). This way you subscribe to that post and you will get the next comments and replies in your e-mail inbox. I know for sure that this option isn't available as "Anonymous" or "Name/URL" and honestly, it would be a good idea it would have it.

Recientemente he abierto una cuenta en Bloglovin', ya veremos si consigo que mis blogs se conozcan un poquito más. En la barra lateral derecha tenéis los links. Quiero decir algo que puede que ya sabéis, pero es algo tan simple que quizás ni os habéis fijado. Cuando deseéis dejar un comentario en este blog, se que si se hace desde una cuenta de Blogger o Google+ podéis suscribiros automáticamente a la entrada para recibir los comentarios nuevos que se publiquen dicha entrada. Para hacerlo, aseguráos de seleccionar "Notify me" antes de publicar vuestro comentario (aunque también lo podéis hacer después). 2 Years!

Happy New Year 2014! Let’s see what this year has to offer us 

Two years has passed since I opened this blog. I want to thank everyone of you who visits this blog everyday :) I'll keep on drawing and improving in each one of my artworks.

Last year I wasn't very active due to some personal event, so I hope this year is more productive and share new artworks here 

To end, I'm afraid that many people visits this blog just because of my "One Piece" fanarts. I'm very sorry to let know that it's not in my plans to draw more "One Piece" fanarts I'm focusing in my own original stuff and ideas, though I'll keep on drawing a very few fanarts from time to time.

Yep, finally I have a blog in tumblr. I thought about it for a couple years since I didn't really like it, but finally I wanted to try and made my account a few days ago.

Updates

Hi there!

These days I've been working in the page section of this blog. I had all those pages abandoned and finally I've managed to update them all adding linked thumbnails to all the artworks I've uploaded here.

I also noticed that a few arworks weren't visible, as I put the link of those drawings from my dead Mangabullet account. This art page has died, so their links are broken. Now you might see all my artworks with no problem. If you find something wrong, feel free to drop a comment to let me know.

I know I'm not much active here these months, I'm in art slump and I wish it will end soon! I only want to let you know that I'm going to keep drawing, if not now, in the nearly future.

I'm alive!

Hi ya there!

I haven't uploaded new artworks for a while, I'm very sorry for all those people who have been visiting my blog and haven't found new artworks  The reason is that I haven't drawn anything new since March-April due to a family issue. My grandmother was very ill and she was in hospital for a month and half. She finally passed away last 31st May, as the cancer she had won the fight. This means that I hardly had time for drawing and neither had inspiration for it. Now that everything is back to normality I hope to be as active as I used to. I'm going to upload a new collab with a dA friend in the next days and I'll try to draw something new again.

I want to add that you can also find me in other places, you can find the links in the left sidebar. If you didn't know, I like photography and BJD's (Ball Jointed Dolls), so you can see my pics and dolls in many of those sites and I have a blog where I upload all the pics I take to my dolls. Feel free to visit them and add comments if you wish.

Once again, sorry for all this time of inactivity and thanks a lot for passing by and visiting my blog, I'm very glad to know that there's people who's interested in my works.

1st Year!

Happy New Year 2013! Let’s see what this year has to offer us.

A whole year has passed since I opened this blog. I want to thank everyone of you who visits this blog everyday :) I'll keep on drawing and improving in each one of my artworks.

If you have a dA account, you can get an artwork from me! I have a kiriban on hold, so if you're interested just visit my current journal to know the rules. I'd have liked to make a raffle or something here for the first year of this blog, but I have 3 followers only and this makes me think that not many people would have entered. If next year I have more followers, then I'll do something ;)

This is Lily, the administrator of this blog. After much thought, finally I decided to write a blog about my artwork. Here you’ll find my illustrations, though I’ll maybe write tutorials and upload WIP. 

I think I’ve left everything organized and linked with their respective sites, but if you find something wrong, just let me know and I’ll correct it immediately. There are a few things which aren’t complete yet, I’ll keep working on them in the next days.
